December 6, 2020

Welcome to Moncton Wesleyan!

At this time of year, Christians around the world join together in Advent, a season of celebrating God’s loving act of taking on human flesh in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, becoming as we are so that we may become as He is through salvation. A weary world, groaning under sin’s weight, rejoices at the release and redemption offered in Jesus’ sacrifice! Join us on December 6th in discussing important and timely Advent themes, including faith, joy, and peace. Share the service links (see below) or run a watch party with friends, family, neighbours, and coworkers!

Due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19 in Moncton, Orange-Level restrictions have been re-imposed in our area, meaning that our services and most other church events are online-only until further notice. You can watch our service online on our Facebook Page and Youtube Channel every Sunday at 10:30 am AST. If you have any questions please email bkeith@mw.church

Christmas is fast approaching and every year we look forward to spending Christmas Eve with you. We want this year’s experience to be special, memorable, and meaningful for you and those closest to you. We are planning right now to have two Christmas Eve services at 5 PM and 7 PM, as well as online.

We have thoughtfully put together a Christmas Eve Experience Box that contains all of the elements you will need to join us this Christmas Eve online. If you’d like a box for your family, go to mw.church/christmas to let us know and then watch the service online the evening of December 24 to take part in the experience with us. We look forward to celebrating this season with you. Merry Christmas!

At Moncton Wesleyan, we firmly believe that radical faith-filled generosity initiates blessing from the heart of God. This year’s Christmas Offering is being divided among a variety of projects in order to meet global, regional, and local needs. To learn more about how we are allotting our offering, click here. From now until December 20, all gifts specifically designated as “CHRISTMAS OFFERING” will be calculated (if giving by e-Transfer please put “Christmas Offering” in the Note/Message section). In our Christmas Eve services we will have a big celebration as we announce the amount we’re giving away. You will not want to miss this great moment of celebration! Merry Christmas, and may the light of Christ shine brightly through you into this dark and broken world!!!

It is that time of year again that we are starting to collect items for our Christmas Bags to help those in need in our City. Please visit our Moncton Wesleyan: Loved and Be Loved Facebook page to see a full list of items we are looking to collect. This may be a serve opportunity for your small group to look into. We will have a few different dates to assemble the bags and distribute them to the community. If you are interested, please let Bonnie know at bkeith@mw.church and we will contact you with further details.

Kid’s World may not be happening in person, but be sure to check us out online! We have resources available each and every week–we want to bring the love of Jesus right into your home and empower you with excellent discipleship resources! You can find us on our Facebook Page or our webpage. If you have any questions, e-mail us at kidsworld@mw.church and we would be more than happy to answer them. We look forward to having your kids with us online in Kids’ World!

Guess what?! God is moving in PRYME. Our big goal at PRYME is to help students develop a faith of their own that lasts. Our services are every Wednesday at 7:00pm AST. You can join us online here. We’d absolutely love for you partner with us in prayer, as we believe that God wants to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

If you’d like to be in the loop about what’s going on at PRYME, click here to sign up for our weekly update email or reach out at students@mw.church. Also, be sure to check out our students’ Facebook page and parents’ Facebook group.
