January 16, 2022

Welcome to Moncton Wesleyan! Join us on Sunday at 10:30 am AST (pre-service starts at 10:15) for our teaching this Sunday “Finding Wisdom.”

This service is live-streamed on Facebook and Youtube. And the sermons are also released as podcasts on Apple Podcasts, Soundcloud, and Spotify.

Today the government of New Brunswick moved the province to Level 3, which is essentially a lockdown. This will last until the end of January.

So until the end of the month the building will be closed for in person meetings. Good news though…many of our ministries can be ramped up to fully online.

Please join Moncton Wesleyan for the Sunday morning livestream on Facebook or YouTube at 10:30am Atlantic (9:30am Eastern). Check in 15 minutes early for an open conversation and some fun connection time

Check out more details at mw.church/c19.

It’s always a fantastic time to join a small group! We have both in-person and online Zoom groups available for adults of all ages and stages, allowing us to continue to stay connected and grow together through these ever-changing times. Let’s lean into this season with creativity and innovation to make the most of a challenging situation. Go to mw.church/groups to sign up for small groups.

At our Christmas Eve services, we made a huge announcement. The people of Moncton Wesleyan, as a display of love and generosity, gave $125,000 toward our Christmas Offering!

This will completely fund a new oxygen generating facility in Haiti to serve the Wesleyan Hospital in LaGonave and other surrounding hospitals. After the destruction of infrastructure in this year’s earthquake, this will save the lives of people with Covid, in intensive care, neo-natal units, surgical units, and more. We’re also funding a bathroom/shower facilities remodel at Naomi & Ruth (a local women’s crisis shelter) and more projects throughout 2022.

Thank you for making a difference in our region and around the world!

Celebrate Recovery will be meeting online-only this week on Tuesday at 6:30 pm.  Celebrate Recovery meets every Tuesday.  We help people find freedom and healing from all types of hurts, habits, and hangups.  For more information follow our Facebook page at mw.church/cr or you may contact Loana Colpitts, Director of Recovery at lcolpitts@mw.church

Due to current government protocols in regards to schools, Kids’ World Elementary will be closed. En lieu of these changes, we will be offering “Zoom With Pastor Liz!” To sign up for this 45 minute Zoom event, and for more details, please go to mw.church/kwzoom. We look forward to seeing you virtually!

Please know that, if you signed up for “Zoom with Pastor Liz” last week, you need to sign up again this week to get the correct Zoom link.

Because of these same government protocols, our midweek program, Kids’ Connect,  will be postponing its launch. Stay tuned for further details regarding a startup date for this event.

Remember that you can find lots of online content on our Kids’ World Facebook page and our webpage, mwkidsworld.ca!

At MW Youth, our goal is to help students have a faith of their own that lasts. We do this by being a youth family that’s fun, safe & life-changing! Join us every Wednesday from 7 pm-8:30 pm. During the c19 restrictions, we’re doing everything online where we have games, prizes, and grade-by-grade small group hangouts! This is all done over zoom and you can find the link at mw.church/youth. We can’t wait to see you there!

In 2021 we saw 23 baptisms, tons of decisions for Jesus and we had a TON of fun doing all-nighters, paintball, gaga ball, hikes, and more. But here’s the thing: We believe 2022 has even better things in store!

Head over to mw.church/youth to access our social media, sign up for our weekly email, and much more! Also, feel free to reach out at students@mw.church!
