Welcome to Moncton Wesleyan!

We would love to invite you to join us in starting off our new sermon series, Powerful Prayers, on October 4th! Invite friends, family, neighbours, and coworkers! Whether you’re a confident, long-time “prayer warrior” or feeling unsure about how to talk to God in the first place, this series will be packed with insights on praying prayers that are bathed in God’s Word and empowered by His Holy Spirit.

1 Thess. 5:12 says “And now, friends, we ask you to honour those leaders, who work so hard for you, who have been given the responsibility of urging and guiding you along in your obedience.”

The month of October is Pastor Appreciation Month! All of us have had challenges in 2020 to adapt to a new, hopefully temporary, normal.  The pastors have had their own set of challenges as they continue moving forward in the cause.  We believe our Church is doing amazing and it is due to great visionary leaders along with wonderful supportive people.

Please pray for your pastors and their families.  We would also like to encourage you to send along notes or emails or give them a call and tell your Pastors how much you appreciate them.

We are excited to introduce Moncton Wesleyan: Love & Be Loved Facebook Page, which will be open to all those in our MW family who are 18 years of age and older. Our mission is about making connections and building relationships within our church and supporting one another to make MW feel like a smaller church. We believe this will be a great platform for gifting and receiving free gifts of tangible things, as well as time and talent and connecting with those within our Church. For more information, read the About section on the page. Please invite others from our church family, share, and post things you may no longer need that might bless others.

Exciting news!!!!   

We will be kicking off Super Seniors on Thursday, October 8th at 10:00 in the Celebration Centre, doors open at 9:30. Our special guests will be Emmaus Road and a message by Pastor David Way. Lots of room in the Celebration Centre to social distance. Due to the rules of Covid, we will not be serving coffee or goodies before the meeting.

We invite you to join our church family for a special night of prayer and worship on Sunday evening, October 25th at 7pm. We will be putting into practice some of the techniques we’ll have been learning throughout our “Powerful Prayers” series, and taking some time to corporately listen to the voice of God. You can join us in-person at Moncton Wesleyan or online via mw.church/watch.

Guess what?! God is moving in PRYME. Our big goal at PRYME is to help students have a faith of their own that lasts and as Fall begins, we’re continuing to see our students step it up in their faith. Students getting bought into spreading God’s love by inviting students is one of the things we get most excited about. We’d absolutely love for you partner with us in prayer, as we believe that God wants to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20), and prayer is a key to unlocking this.
