Welcome Home

We’re so glad you’re here.

Thanks for stopping by and getting to know us a little better. Hopefully you’ll see and experience some of the things that make Tidal Church a special place. We also hope that your online experience will help you know what to expect if you come to visit us for one of our services. We’re casual, upbeat, we like to laugh, not take ourselves too seriously and we’re probably not all that different from you. We’re a community of people inviting others to experience the difference that Jesus can make in their lives!

We hope to see you this Sunday at 9:15 am or 11:00 am! Watch the short video to learn what you can expect at the Moncton Campus.

We invite you to pre-register below either as an individual/couple or as a family (children in grade 6 or younger). Pre-registration is not mandatory, but it can speed up the process on Sunday (especially if you have children.)

We are Wesleyan.

A commitment to the intentional pursuit of holiness, faith-based social justice, evangelism, and transformation through Jesus.

“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

Micah 6:8 emphasizes key Wesleyan values of justice, mercy, and humility before God, reflecting the call to live out one’s faith through intentional action, a pursuit of holiness, and a life-transforming relationship with Christ.

Our position aligns with the Wesleyan Church’s call to
spread scriptural holiness and transform lives through the Gospel. Embracing their vision of “transforming lives, churches, and communities through the hope and holiness of Jesus Christ,” we are committed to initiating profound change and extending the hope of Jesus to every corner of our community.

Our Mision

Go the distance to bring people closer to God.

Our mission is anchored in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” and Matthew 28:19, “Go and make disciples of all nations,” reinforcing our commitment to spreading God’s message to the ends of the earth.

We follow Wesleyan teachings, welcoming people from all backgrounds—men, women, young, old, laypeople, and clergy—to share the hope of Jesus.

Like the tide, our mission reaches far and brings people closer. Inspired by Wesley’s passion for evangelism, we are dedicated to connecting people with their faith and growing together in Christ. We aim to change lives and build strong relationships that flow from our homes into the community, just as the tide moves outward and always returns.

Our Vision

One—that the Maritimes may believe.

Our vision is rooted in John 17:21: “That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.” We aim to live out this oneness in everything we do. This vision began in 1968 when the Wesleyan Methodist and Pilgrim Holiness Churches united under the banner

“One—That the World May Believe,” forming the Wesleyan Church. Today, this legacy of unity drives our mission to love God and serve others across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. We strive to pursue this vision by connecting our faith to our community and reflecting the unity and love at the heart of our tradition.

Core Commitments

Friendship

1 Thessalonians 5:11 says, “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.” It all starts with friendship, where each person feels valued, cared for, and supported within a loving community.

Fellowship

Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us to, “spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together…” Once friendships are established, fellowship becomes a central part of our church life, as we form meaningful connections that reflect Christ’s love, especially when we gather on Sundays.

Discipleship

Matthew 28:19-20 calls us to, “go and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” As friendships and fellowship grow, discipleship naturally follows, where we deepen our faith through small groups, Bible study, and mentoring, helping each other reflect Jesus.

Servant Leadership

1 Peter 5:2-3 encourages us to, “Be shepherds of God’s flock… not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.” As our faith matures, we take on roles of servant leadership, meeting the needs of the church and community with compassion and action.

Worship

Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly… through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit.” Worship is at the heart of our faith. Through prayer, singing, scripture, and giving, weoffer our full devotion to God, deepening our relationship with Him.

We believe.

  • We believe God made us with a spiritual side that wants us to have a relationship with Him. Because we are all naturally flawed, that’s not always obvious to us. We try and provide an environment that allows people to explore God without having to be perfect first. Come as you are. Wear what you wear. No judgement. No pressure.

  • We believe that the Bible is God’s word – life’s guide book. We believe in one God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father is Creator of everything in heaven and earth. Jesus, the Son, is the Saviour of the world. And the Holy Spirit speaks to us and guides us through life’s journey.

  • We believe salvation is a free gift of God, offered to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus. We can’t earn it, buy it or be born into it. It’s received simply by repenting and asking for it by faith.

  • We believe the church is a place that exists to tell the world about this Jesus.
